Dr. Mike de Jong has been using both Biofeedback and Neurofeedback as treatment modalities since the mid- 90's. He finds that neurofeedack or biofeedback alone can be a powerful tool and that this 'tool,' when used properly, can address pre-existing physiological problems. However, he knows there is more to you than just brainwaves or muscle tension and that a person's beliefs, predispositions, preferences and past history may also need to be addressed in order to help a person move ahead with their life. When necessary, he uses 'in-session' psychotherapy techniques as well as take-home exercises and tools to bolster the progress made in dealing with physiological issues.
